This book is in very good condition with slight shelf wear and an owner's name pencilled on the title page. The DJ, now protected in a poly cover, is in good shape with minor edge wear, edge tears, and chipping (the largest on the back flap fold extending along the fold a little over an inch). ; A visit to the North Woods home of Sam and Giny by Captain Duke leads to the discovery and observation of the Vandevillian antics of a family of red squirrels. Sam Campbell was known as "The Philosopher of the Forest" by those who read his books and attended his lectures.
